At Union Church, we believe that knowledge of God and self is a key part of being a mobilized disciple of Jesus Christ. One of the primary ways that God has revealed himself and truth is through the Bible, God's word to his people over the course of hundreds of years. It is through the Bible that we come to know God, learn the story of Jesus Christ's life, and understand how he has called us to follow him in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Not only is reading the Bible on our own an important part of our life as Christians, but reading it in community, with our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. By doing so, we gain new perspectives, receive accountability, and have opportunities to use our spiritual gifts.

The Israelites' Exodus from Egypt is not merely one example of God working throughout history, but one that sets the pattern for how God’s people should expect him to work—especially as it foreshadows the work and person of Jesus Christ. In Exodus, God reveals himself as the covenantally faithful God who redeems his people, who is sovereign over every enemy, who is worthy of all our worship. Join us as we seek to know him more!
